Frequently Asked Questions

Are you prepared to travel?

Yes – I live in the Central Belt, but will travel up to 30 miles return journey at no extra cost. Beyond 30 miles, I would ask for an additional travel allowance of 42p per mile.

Can you legally marry a couple?

Yes. I am an Ordained OneSpirit Interfaith Minister: OneSpirit has been granted the authority to nominate Ministers to hold legal marriages and civil partnerships in Scotland.

Can you lead outdoor ceremonies?

Yes – I love being outside, and nature’s elements all play a part in creating the environment and atmosphere of your ceremony. An outdoor ceremony can give such beautiful opportunities to create a space that is special and right, a space that adds to the emotion and depth of your ceremony.  In Scotland, we are lucky enough to be able to choose to be married anywhere

Can you include religious aspects in your Ceremonies?

Ordained as a OneSpirit Interfaith Minister, I welcome and respect all faith paths, all connections with spirituality. I also welcome and respect secular values of equality and tolerance, celebrating individuality and unique gifts. My Ceremonies reflect inclusion and acceptance.

Are there other Ceremonies that you can create?

Yes – my commitment as an Interfaith Celebrant is to offer ceremonies that honour the many thresholds of life. These can include: House Blessings, Rites of Passage (e.g. becoming a teenager, moving to or leaving High School), Divorce, Anniversaries, Renewal of Vows, Honouring our Ancestors: significant beginnings and endings. My Ceremonies can bring comfort, peace, healing and joy.
